  Tirupati Andhra Pradesh

One of the richest temple in Andhra Pradesh and in India, Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh is located in the south eastern regions of Andhra Pradesh in the Chittoor district. Nestled amidst the foothills of Tirumala Hills, the Tirupati Temple is one of the revered shrines and the most expensive temples in the world. Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh considered the abode of the Lord Venkateswara and is one of the oldest temples, patronized by the former kings belonging to the dynasties of Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas and Vijayanagara.

A day at Tirupati normally starts at three in the morning with Suprabhatam, awakening the Lord. The day ends with Ekanta Seva which means putting the Lord to sleep by midnight. The prayers are offered on daily basis, weekly and even periodically as Utsavams and Sevas. Those who are interested in paying homage can offer small amount in lieu of the Sevas and the Utsavams that is done for their name. The gifts and the donations that is offered by the devotees in large numbers , is known as Hundi in the local term. It is one of the major source of income for the Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
